* Coronavirus Update:

We are continuing to provide this important health service and we will take precautions to safeguard client's health. John Collins will use PPE during your appointment and he is up to date with vaccinations.  In addition, all clients will be required to sanitise their hands thoroughly upon entering the clinic and we require that only symptom free clients enquire to attend the clinic*

Please use olive oil drops or an olive oil spray such as Earol (available from most chemists) in your ears for at least 4-5 days before treatment because this helps with the removal of hardened or impacted wax.

We are also able to provide this service for children over the age of 13 years, if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

We have card payment facilities and can also accept payment by cash or cheque.

Clean and Comfortable

Ear Wax Removal

Ear wax removal cleaning costs £50 for  both ears or £30 for treating one ear. We have a 'no wax, no fee' policy, so if upon examination you do not have ear wax then we will not charge a fee. Occasionally, it may require more than one visit to complete your treatment - you will only be charged once.  Please allow up to 30 minutes for your treatment.  Excessive and impacted ear wax can cause pain, reduce hearing and affect balance. Many hearing-aid wearers experience 'whistling' and reduced hearing-aid function due to excessive ear wax. Microsuction ear wax removal is a clean and comfortable solution.

Microsuctioning

Ear wax removal via microsuction is considered safer than other methods such as irrigation and this is why we offer microsuctioning.  A small, thin, low-pressure suction device is used to remove the wax gently and comfortably. An otoscope and specialist light loupes enable a clear view throughout the treatment which is one of the reasons why it is considered safer than irrigation. The process is also less messy than irrigation because no water is involved, cutting down on the risk of infection. Please expect some noise during the treatment. Your comfort is important to us and you can withdraw your consent to treatment at any time during the process.
